JSU Women Win SWAC Opener, Men Lose to Alabama A&M

JACKSON – The Jackson State women beat Alabama A&M 77-70 in the SWAC opener for both schools. Ayanna Lynn led the Tigers with 15 points.

The men, however, were not as fortunate against their male counterparts. The Tigers lost senior guard Juylesses Nobles in the first half to a head injury and missed his presence the rest of the game. 

The game was tied at 52 late in the second half but Alabama A&M pulled away and won 68-61.
