(JSU Athletics) – Jackson State’s standout defensive back Qua Cox has been tabbed to play in the 2014 Senior Bowl on Saturday, January 25 at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama. Kick-off for the game is set for 3 p.m. (CT) and will be televised on the NFL Network.

Cox will play on the South team for Coach Gus Bradley. Cox, who has already been named a SBN All-American, Boxtorow All-American and a BSTN All-America second team member, finished his senior season with 32 tackles and six pass break-ups (second on the team).

The Tuskegee, Alabama native was named to the 2013 Sports Network Buck Buchanan and the 2013 College Football Performance Awards (CFPA) preseason watch lists. He was also named a Sports Network preseason All-American. During his career at Jackson State, Cox recorded 10 interceptions, 145 tackles, eight tackles for loss and three sacks.
