CANTON, Miss. (AP) – The Mississippi Department of Transportation will begin work on a paving project on Interstate 20 between Interstate 220 and the Natchez Trace.
Also included in the project is a landscaping upgrade at the Springridge Road interchange.
Mayor Phil Fisher says the improvements to the area in the next two years will only add to the city’s growth and help distinguish Clinton from surrounding communities.
MDOT officials said the overall project is expected to cost $20 million. The bidding process will begin in April.
Construction is slated to begin in July, and if everything goes as planned, the project should be completed by October 2015.
