WJTV – Jones County Junior College has hired Rahim Lockhart as its new men’s basketball coach.

Lockhart replaces Jay Ladner, who led the Bobcats to a national championship in March and left for the same job at Southeastern Louisiana last month.

In his three seasons at Madison Central, Lockhart led the Jaguars to two straight state championship appearances, including a runner-up finish in 2013. Lockhart did quite the job turning this MC program around. The year before he got to Madison, the Jaguars won just 8 games.

Lockhart will be officially introduced as the new JCJC head coach Monday at 11 A.M.
