The second winner for BBQ with Brad is Sharyn Thornton of Raymond.
Her winning recipe is taco casserole. She says even though its not BBQ, it can be cooked on the grill. Thornton says this dish has become famous among her children and their teammates.
“I once made four large pans and not a bit was left,” Thornton said.
4 lbs hamburger meat, cooked and drained
1 packet El Paso cooking sauce
1 packet Taco cooking sauce
1/4 cup taco sauce
4 cups shredded cheese
Nacho cheese chips
Preheat oven (or grill) to 375 degrees. In a large greased pan, spread evenly, crushed nacho chips. Add a thin layer of cheese. Set aside. After browning and draining the grease from the meat, add sauces and cook on medium until the sauce is thick and meat evenly coated. Transfer meat to the pan and carefully spread evenly. Add the rest of the cheese to the top and bake in the oven for 5 minutes. Serve with sour cream, peppers, tomatoes, and/lettuce.
