JACKSON, Miss. – State Treasurer Lynn Fitch went back to school last Wednesday to talk about money.
As part of the effort to change the financial culture in Mississippi, Fitch is making her way around the state to introduce the “Treasurer’s Education about Money” program, called TEAM.
She is raising awareness about the need to provide personal finance education. One of her first stops on this tour was the metro area, including Madison Central High School.
“We need to teach our children have them prepared for the next step because they are the next step the next generation the next succession plan for US, but you have to understand money and we hope our children will be empowered by money and not be afraid of money,” she said.
