A Jackson elementary school is feeling the heat after its air conditioning system fails.
Parents tell WJTV News Channel 12 that Pecan Park Elementary School has been without air condition for the past two weeks.
Jackson Public School District officials are not saying much about what is happening except that repairs should be done by the end of the week.
The district released a statement saying “Fans are being distributed and used temporarily in parts of the building as needed.”
The school also sent a handout message to parents of students on Tuesday that said to help with the heat teachers are turning off lights and relocating some classes.
