Gov. Bryant issues executive order in remembrance of Rep. Esther Harrison

State Rep. Esther Harrison dies

JACKSON, MS— Governor Phil Bryant has issued an Executive Order for “the State Flag on all building and grounds of the State of Mississippi” to fly at half staff in remembrance of state representative Esther Harrison on June 19, 2015 from sunrise to sunset.

Rep. Harrison passed away in June 2015. She was a democratic state representative for Lowndes County, District 41.

Governor Bryant described her in a statement, saying, “She worked quietly and effectively for the people of her district, never seeking fanfare or the spotlight.”
