JACKSON, MS – A Newton woman has been sentenced to 46 months in federal prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
According to U.S. Attorney Gregory K. Davis and DEA Special Agent in Charge Keith Brown, 36-year-old Angelia Fortenberry was indicted for her connection to a California/Mississippi drug network that distributed over 100 Kilograms of Methamphetamine. The network was investigated during “Operation Yeti Ice”. This operation is described in an official release as “an extensive Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force (OCDETF) investigation, which began as an operation targeting illegal narcotics distribution in central Mississippi.”
In addition to the 46-month sentence, Fontenberry was also given three years of supervised release.
