WAYNESBORO, MS – Two men have been identified as the suspects in a fight that lead to a deadly shooting at a Waynesboro nightclub.
Waynesboro PD Chief Oscar Lewis says the fight broke out around 1:45 on July 5, 2015, inside Club Embassy on 215 Court Street in Waynesboro.
Travis McDonald, 24, was stabbed and suffered non-life threatening injuries. The fight continued into the parking lot, when it escalated and Douglas McGill, 37, was shot and killed.
Antonio McDougle, 26, turned himself in to the Wayne County PD the same day as the crime. He is in custody and has been charged with first degree murder and 2 aggravated assaults. He is currently in the Wayne County detention center.
Police say they are currently looking the second suspect, Franchez Worsham, 24. He will be charged with 3 counts of accessory after the fact and 1 Aggravated Assault
Police also say the incident was not gang related, but it did involve a Westside/Eastside confrontation.
