The last two Raymond Detention Center escapees have been caught.
Authorities tell us that 23-year-old John Rollins and 25-year-old Montreal Anderson are back in custody.
Clinton authorities told us that the escapees allegedly stole a white Ford F-150 truck from Obie’s Chevron. They said the driver went into the store to pay for gas and the inmates jumped into the truck, which was unlocked.
Law enforcement officers said the two men drove onto I-20 West where a state trooper was waiting for them.
The escapees crashed out at a field near Oakridge Road on Highway 61.
Rollins and Anderson took off running. One was caught in the field and the other was caught in an abandoned dealership near the field. We’re told the Vicksburg Police Department used a K-9 officer to help find the escapee that was hiding in the abandoned dealership.
Inside the vehicle was a dog that belonged to truck’s owner. Authorities also found a gun in the truck.
Rollins and Anderson escaped the Raymond Jail on Monday along with Kevin Holmes, Jr., 18, and Jermaine Wilson, 19.
Wilson and Holmes were captured earlier this week at separate locations.
