2 arrested after guns, drugs found in home on Ponderosa Drive

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two people are arrested after weapons, cash, and drugs were found in a Jackson home.

lackey and madison mergedJackson Police took 39-year-old Delvin Lackey and 34-year-old Kimberly Madison into custody.

JPD’s Narcotics Division collaborated with the Jackson-Hinds County SWAT team and searched a home on Ponderosa Drive.

Officials said this was an ongoing investigation regarding drug trafficking and firearm possession at that location.

Detectives were able to seize an assault rifle, a pistol, a stolen rifle, several rounds of ammunition, scales, about two  pounds of marijuana, Ecstasy, and more than $3,000 in cash.

Lackey is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of MDMA (Ecstasy), possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a stolen firearm. He is also currently on probation with the Mississippi  Department of Corrections for a prior Manslaughter conviction.ponderosa drive 2

Madison is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

One of the guns recovered, has “Governor Kirk Fordice” engraved on the side. Former Gov. Fordice was in office from 1992 until 2000.

The Jackson Police Department urges the community to continue to utilize the Drug Hotline (601-960-0025) and any other measurements of reporting illegal drug activity within the community.
