YAZOO COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV ) – A Yazoo County man allegedly stabbed his ex-girlfriend multiple times before shooting himself in the head. Both of them survived and were taken to the hospital.
Investigator Terry Gann said they received a call at 7:30 a.m. to go to King Daughter’s Hospital in regards to a stabbing victim.
Gann said that Alicia Camper was stabbed multiple times. She told authorities that her ex-boyfriend Ezzard McRae climbed through her kitchen window and went into her bedroom and stabbed her several times with a kitchen knife. The investigator said when the blade of the first knife broke, McRae grabbed another knife.
A witness told authorities that McRae asked if he would take Camper to the hospital because she had been stabbed. The witness drove her to the hospital.
The investigator said around 8 a.m. they received another call, this time because McRae had shot himself in the head at a gas station on Jerry Clower Blvd. He was sitting in the passenger seat, according to the investigator; someone drove him to the hospital.
According to UMMC, Camper is reportedly in good condition, while McRae’s condition is serious.
