Madison PD searching for two people accused of using counterfeit money

madison counterfiet money 1MADISON, MS – Police are searching for two individuals accused of passing counterfeit money.

According to the Madison Police Department, on August 9, 2015, an unidentified black male and  female attempted to purchase a TV with counterfeit money at the Wal-Mart on Grandview Blvd in Madison, MS.

The couple was confronted by the cashier and the couple fled the store in an unknown vehicle. It is unknown at this time what direction they went in.

Other Wal-Mart stores in the area have reported getting counterfeit bills that have matching serial numbers and denominations like the one in Madison.

There is a reward of up to $1000.00 for information on the suspects. If anyone has any information, call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS(8477) or submit an online tip on the Central MS Crime Stoppers website.
