Traffic stop leads to 2 arrests, drugs confiscated

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Two people are busted for drugs after a traffic stop in Jackson.

Police said 31-year-old Jeremy Robinson is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute along with a firearm and DUI. 38-year-old Lamar Thompson was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

On Saturday, an officer pulled the two over on Robinson Road for speeding.

During the traffic stop, police said they confiscated about 170 grams of marijuana, scales, a handgun, and about $11,000 in cash.

Both men were taken to jail.
