WJTV – The first year in Division II for the Mississippi College football team was a rough one. However, how it ended is giving the team some encouragement as they begin year two.
The Choctaws went 1-9 last season, and most of those losses were pretty one-sided. MC lost five games by forty points or less, but those deficits shrunk at the end of the season.
This year, the team says it feels like it’s on a more level playing field, having conducted spring practice for the first time in 20 years. That, and an influx of junior college transfers, has led to an optimistic attitude as camp begins.
