Madison Police have arrested a man who’s accused of sex crimes against children.
Police tell us they arrested Brandon Phillip Dixon, 28, of Jackson at the Jackson Evers International Airport on Friday.
On August 26, Madison Police say they learned Dixon was accused of having inappropriate contact with children in the Madison area.
Authorities began collecting information concerning the allegations against Dixon and a search warrant was issued for electronic devices belonging to him.
During the course of the investigation, Madison Police learned Dixon would be returning to Jackson on a flight Friday. Officials with the Mississippi Bureau of Investigation and the Jackson Municipal Airport Authority executed that warrant, and Dixon was arrested.
Dixon is charged with two counts of gratification of lust involving a minor child.
Dixon did appear in court. Madison Municipal Court Judge Dale Danks set Dixon’s bond at $1 million – $500,000 for each count. The Madison Police Department and the State Attorney General’s Office are continuing to investigate this case. They say more charges could be filed.
