MTV’s Video Music Awards opened with a surprise duet with Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift.

Swift won the biggest honor of “Best Video” for “Bad Blood.” She also won best female video for “Blank Space.” That got a laugh from Kanye West, who infamously interrupted Swift onstage when she beat out Beyonce at the VMA’s in 2009.

West was honored with the “Video Vanguard” award, and after a presentation by Taylor Swift, he launched into a 12-minute rant about his career, the music business, smoking marijuana before the show, and much more.

West wrapped up his speech by announcing he’ll run for president in 2020.
