JACKSON , Miss. (WJTV) — Second Amendment tax-free weekend will be this weekend in Mississippi.
On Friday, Saturday and Sunday, shoppers will be allowed to buy hunting gear and will not have to pay sales tax on it. This includes gun safes, archery equipment and ammunition.
“Hunting is the favorite pastime of so many Mississippians and a major tourism draw for rural areas,” Lt. Gov. Reeves said. “The Second Amendment Sales Tax Holiday is a way to make these sports a little less expensive and encourage more families to enjoy the outdoors.”
