PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) – Pascagoula police say a woman has died after being shot by a man during what is described as a domestic dispute at the office of nutrition program in Pascagoula.
Police tell local media outlets that no one else was in the building at the time of the shooting and both were taken to the hospital, where the woman later died.
Lt. Doug Adams says police received a call about the shooting at the federally-funded food nutrition warehouse shortly before 8 a.m. Monday.
Adams says police are still trying to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
The name of the deceased has not been released pending notification of next of kin.
Police Capt. Shannon Massey says the man is in critical condition at Singing River Hospital.
