Deadly Louisiana High School Football Game

LA. – A high school football game in Louisiana takes a deadly turn during a Friday night game.

16-Year-Old Tyrell Cameron of Franklin Parish took a hit during the fourth quarter and broke his neck.

Cameron was rushed to the hospital, where he died from that injury.

“It was a routine punt play, where we were punting and he was going down to cover the kick and ran into a blocker,” said coach Barry Sebren. “The autopsy will have to tell the final result, but I just feel like its one of those freak accidents.

Saturday night the team gathered with Cameron’s family and friends at Franklin Parish High School for a memorial.
