RICHLAND, Miss. (WJTV) — Two people are arrested for kidnapping, house burglary, and armed robbery. A third person is also wanted in connection with the crime.
Richland Police said 18-year-old Marrisa Farmer and a 16-year-old minor have been charged.
Authorities are looking for 24-year-old DeShaun Grissom.
Police said that on August 18, a business on Highway 49 was robbed at gunpoint. The employee ran from the store and the gunman chased her into another business. She was able to barricade herself in the bathroom. The suspect threatened an employee at that business, who was also able to escape.
According to police, the suspect ran into a nearby home, broke the window, and kidnapped a resident. The suspect forced the victim to drive him to Clinton. The victim was held at gunpoint, they said.
Police were able to make the current arrests because the 2006 Dodge Durango that they were in was caught on surveillance video near the area where the suspect forced the victim to take him.
