Police still searching for suspect in armed robbery, house burglary, and kidnapping

CLINTON, MS – Two people are behind bars after a crime spree ends in Clinton, MS.

Richland police are still looking for a third person wanted in connection to an armed robbery, house burglary, and kidnapping.

Twenty-four-year-old Deshaun Grissom of Vicksburg is wanted in connection to these crimes which happened back in August.

Police arrested 18-year-old Marrisa Farmer and an unidentified 16-year-old, both from Vicksburg. They’ve been charged in connection to this investigation.

Police say it started in a shopping center on Highway 49 in Richland, MS.

A person entered a title cash store and tried to rob an employee at gunpoint. WJTV’s Danielle Avitable went out to the shopping center today and spoke with one of the women who was held at gunpoint..

She says after the suspect chased a woman into Acceptance Insurance from Title Cash, he tried to get her to come inside the business too, but she took off running and both women were able to get away safely.

armed robbery investigation2Police say that’s when the suspect ran to a nearby home where he broke in through a window, kidnapped someone, and forced the victim to drive him to Clinton at gunpoint.

Surveillance video showed a 2006 Dodge Durango around the Title Cash. This is the area where the victim was forced to drop him off.

Police are still looking for 24-year-old Deshaun Grissom. If you see him, call police.
