Leake Academy student’s health improving

Grant Roberson

Grant Roberson was taken to the hospital September 7th after falling ill after football practice at Leake Academy.
He was taken to a local hospital before being airlifted to UMC and put into ICU, according to family members.
Once at UMC, doctors ran tests and found that the teen had the flu which complicated things, according to Dana Roberson, aunt.
Over the past week Grant’s health has been slowly improving as he remains at UMC.
At last check, Grant’s aunt says he is getting better by the day.
Roberson says, “His nurse came in yesterday morning to give him meds and he turned his head to look at her. I think she about fainted.”
Roberson also adds that Grant is now off the ventilator.
We will continue to follow Grant’s progress and provide you updates.
