JACKSON, MS (WJTV) – The Mississippi Children’s Museum is making room for a little bit of Japan here in Jackson.
The “Hello from Japan” exhibit opened yesterday. Officials say the exhibit comes from the Manhattan Children’s Museum and it took roughly a week to put together.
This is the first time the display will be here as part of the Asian culture series. The goal is to build an understanding of what it means to be part of a global community.
“…We have children from (ages) 2-92 who can come and learn something and enjoy…We definitely want our children to focus on literacy, chose early developing behavioral skills sensory skills, and learn something new that they could take home with them,” says Communications Coordinator Chellese Hall.
“Hello from Japan” will be here for a while. Families have until January 3, 2016 to check it out.
