Two Accidents Cause Delays on I-20 in Jackson

Two accidents caused major delays on I-20 W. near the Robinson Road exit Monday morning.

In the first accident, Jackson Police said one person died when a car crashed. We’re told that car caught fire.

While crews worked to clear the accident scene, an 18-wheeler crashed into a fire truck.

Officials said the 18-wheeler spilled raw food and leaked diesel.

Westbound lanes were blocked for several hours. One lane has since been reopened on I-20.
