WJTV – According to Ben Garrett of The Ole Miss Spirit, an affiliate website of Scout.com, Rebel offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil will not play on Saturday against Vanderbilt.
Garrett also reports those representing Tunsil met with the NCAA in Indianapolis.
The preseason All-American has missed the first three games of the 2015 season due to Ole Miss withholding him from play while the NCAA completes its investigation.
The NCAA’s investigation into the two-time All-SEC lineman deals with a possible loaner car that he allegedly may have kept too long, according to an ESPN report.
Tunsil’s stepfather, Lindsey Miller, also accused him of taking impermissible benefits from agents after an altercation between the two in which Tunsil claims he was trying to protect his mother from Miller. The two did drop charges against one another.
Tunsil is considered one of the top NFL draft prospects for 2016, with ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. ranking him among the top five overall prospects.
