The bond was set for the woman in connection to the shooting near Mississippi State University.
Nia Kamyra Smith received a $15, 000 bond for the Drive-By Shooting charge and $5, 000 for Felony Possession of Cocaine charge.
At this time, no further arrests have been made.
The investigation is on-going.
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WJTV) — Starkville Police Department arrested a woman in connection to the shooting near Mississippi State University.
Nia Kamyra Smith, 19, is charged with Drive-By Shooting, Felony Possession of Cocaine, and Misdemeanor Possession of Marijuana.
This arrest is in connection to two reported drive-by shootings on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 on Tabor Street and 1040 North Montgomery Street in Starkville, MS.
Smith is a MSU student and was taken to the Oktibbeha County Jail. She will have her first appearance today at 2:00 p.m. in Municipal Court.
Starkville Police is investigating other suspects for a connection to Fire Arms Trafficking.
