Memphis takes down No. 13 Ole Miss 37-24

WJTV – The Memphis Tigers have their first win over a nationally ranked opponent since 1996.

After No. 13 Ole Miss jumped out to a 14-0 lead, Memphis fired back with 31 straight points on its way to a 37-24 win.

Junior quarterback Paxton Lynch led the Tigers by throwing for 384 yards and three touchdowns while completing 74 percent of his passes.

The Rebels may have lost a little more than a game too. Junior All-American defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche was on offense in the second quarter and suffered a concussion on a rushing attempt. He did not return to the game.

Ole Miss is now 5-2 on the season and will host No. 9 Texas A&M on Oct. 24. Memphis, who’s now won 13 straight games dating back to last season, will travel to take on Tulsa next.
