WJTV – Louisiana Tech jumped out to a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter, but Mississippi State didn’t blink.
Senior quarterback Dak Prescott led his Bulldogs to outscore the other Bulldogs 45-6 the rest of the way to beat Louisiana Tech 45-20.
Prescott accounted for four total touchdowns while throwing for 347 yards. He became just the third quarterback in SEC history to have 50 career passing touchdowns and 30 career rushing touchdowns.
The Mississippi State defense buckled down after giving up those first 14 points, grabbing two sacks and a touchdown when freshman safety Brandon Bryant took an interception 73 yards for a touchdown.
Dan Mullen’s team is 5-2 on the year now and returns to SEC play next week when it hosts Kentucky.
