JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Jackson Police are issue parents a warning about a drug that looks like candy.

The police department posted the message on their Facebook page.

The message warns parents that if their children receive multicolored tablets like those in the above photo for Halloween, it’s not candy.

JPD said is Ecstasy and that overdoses of it could be deadly.

They are asking parents to check out all candy that their children receive this Halloween and if in doubt, throw it away.

Jackson Police tell us they have not had any reported cases of this being a problem in the Metro, but they still want parents to know about the dangers of it.
