SIMPSON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) — A log truck driver is recovering from his injuries after a morning crash.
Mississippi Highway Patrol Trooper Eric Henry said around 6:09 a.m., they went to the intersection of MS 28 and MS 43 where the crash happened.
The log truck was going east on Highway 28 and tried to make a turn onto Highway 43 when he lost control.
The truck overturned.
The log truck company’s name is JRM trucking of Louin, Miss.
The driver said he was trying to avoid hitting a deer.
The driver suffered minor injuries.
