Armed robber gets away with undisclosed amount money


JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Police Department responded to 3541 Medgar Evers regarding an armed robbery of a business around 6:58 a.m early Saturday, October 24th.

An employee of the business reported while mopping the floor, an unknown mask man entered the store dressed in all black wearing a hoodie and gloves according to Officer Colendula Green of the Jackson Police Department.

The unknown suspect approached him, pointed a handgun toward him stating “Give me the money”.

The male employee reported he ran behind the counter and attempted to lock the door but the robber followed him.

The employee reports he opened the register and gave the suspect an unknown amount of money.

He reported the suspect fled the store on foot in an unknown direction of travel.

The suspect is described as a black male, 6’1-6’3, slender, and 160 pounds.

There were no reported injuries.

Officers canvassed the area to no avail of suspect’s whereabouts.
