Man wanted for Fred’s Dollar Store robbery cleared of charges

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The man Jackson Police were looking for in connection with a discount store robbery is no longer wanted.

Officer Colendula Green said 23-year-old Antonio Harris was cleared as a suspect in the investigation.

Police went to the Fred’s Dollar Store on Parkway Drive on October 23 to respond to an armed robbery and shots being fired.

The investigation determined that a man robbed the store and fired a shot inside the business.

The suspect left the building and an armed off-duty officer was there. The officer fired shots at the suspect but he managed to get away.

Harris was wanted for armed robbery in the case.

Police said he is no longer wanted for that charge.
