ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — A dog who fell nearly 100 feet from the 45 Toll Friday night in Round Rock is back and recovering with his family.

Round Rock police say witnesses called authorities around 8:30 p.m. regarding a dog stuck on top of a concrete slab on the toll flyover.

Animal Control and firefighters responded but had a hard time getting to the dog because he displayed aggression toward anyone who approached him. After numerous attempts to safely contain the dog, he jumped off the toll road flyover and fell 10 stories below onto Louis Henna Boulevard.

Once on the ground, Animal Control Officer Lisa Stem was able to safely contain the dog and transport him to Emergency Pet Care of Round Rock for evaluation. Veterinarians determined the dog had no broken bones and no internal bleeding, just some bruising.

Since the dog had a microchip, they were able to identify him and his owner. After several weeks away from home, Bundy was finally reunited with his owners who said he had been missing since Halloween.
