JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) –”It’s very difficult.”
It was a sight that nearly brought tears to Brandi Grey’s eyes.
“We’re going to have to start over,” Brandi Grey, the Bookkeeper Janitorial Equipment Repair, said.
The owner was too upset to talk as he watched his livelihood, Janitorial Equipment Repair, become a pile of ash and debris. Grey says this isn’t the first time her boss has had a setback.
“We’re just gonna have to overcome,” Grey said.
We’re told inside there were propane tanks and a lot of electrical equipment but the cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
This week, WJTV reported about a bridge out on Kimbell Road … which leads to Speaks Road. We brought the following question to Emergency Management Assistant Director Joey Perkins:
“Are residents safe if a fire were to break out in that area on the other side of the bridge.”
Perkins: “We haven’t had any issues with the bridge being out,”
WJTV’s Malary Pullen: “Would Kimbell Road being out be an issue in the future for firefighters?”
Perkins: “No ma’am.”
Pullen: “Why is that?”
Perkins: “We can go around with the stations positioned how they are, we can come from different directions.”
We’re told no one was injured when the business went up in flames.
At this time, there’s no word on what caused the fire, but we’re working to get more details. We’ll bring you that information as soon as it becomes available.
