JPD arrests armed robbery suspect on the run

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Police Department has arrested a man wanted for several armed robberies in the Jackson Metro area.

JPD responded to an anonymous tip that Pitrell Brister was at a location on Bailey Avenue on Sunday, November 29, 2015.

Authorities were able to detain Brister without incident.

He was later transported to the City Holding Facility and arrested for four counts of Armed Robbery and five counts of Auto Burglary.

Marquez Washington, an accomplice of Brister, is still wanted by the Jackson Police Department. He is wanted for several felony charges that include counts of Armed Robbery, Armed Carjacking and Auto Burglary.
