Salvation Army requesting donations for upcoming holiday

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — The Salvation Army of Jackson is asking the community to drop off donations that they can distribute as gifts for Christmas to to those in need.

The Salvation Army officials said about 300 senior angel gifts were not returned after their tags were picked up.

They do not want these seniors to be overlooked this upcoming holiday.

They are asking for comforters, slippers, robes, bath towels, cookware, small kitchen appliances, large print books, and other items.

Donations can be dropped of at the administration building at 10 Presto Lane or at the Metro Center Mall Sears Entrance on Highway 80.

The donations are needed as soon as possible. The seniors will be given the gifts this week.
