JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) -The pursuit for justice continues.
Family, friends and pastors gathered on Saturday, just yards away from where Broderick Smith was gunned down.
This weekend marks one month since the O’Reilly Auto Parts employee’s death.
Broderick Smith’s wife says she won’t give up until her husband’s killers are caught.
Jamie Smith is not resting until she finds the people responsible for gunning down her husband the night of November 18th.
Pastors from the Jackson Metro area gathered with the Smith family rallying against the crime in the City of Jackson.
“I felt we needed to come together as a city, as a community to say that we know that somebody knows something just still asking that someone come forward with the information that they have,” Jamie Smith, the wife of Broderick Smith, said.
While police have received many tips about that night, there’s been no arrest of the masked men accused of rushing into the O’Reilly Auto Parts store on Livingston Road, demanding money and killing Smith.
“Somebody would shoot my husband in the head and murder him for less than a hundred dollars. Yet there’s a reward out for $11,000 and nobody’s come forth,” Smith said.
Smith and her children will spend their first Christmas without Broderick.
“It’s God that’s carrying me,” Smith said.
If you have any information that could lead to an arrest, contact Jackson Police at (601) 960-1234.
You could be eligible for that reward.
