Police ask public to help find attacker in rape a year ago

OCEAN SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) – Police are asking the public to help find a rapist who attacked a woman 13 months ago on the Biloxi Bay Bridge.

The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1memHiZ ) reports that Police Chief Mark Dunston says DNA cleared all 13 men considered suspects.

He says police got lots of tips when they started investigating, but the leads have dried up and the case has grown cold.

He’s asking anyone with a possible lead, no matter how small, to call police.

A group created after the rape was reported says it has raised $2,700 for security cameras on the bridge, but needs $10,000.

The woman reported the rape on Nov. 19, 2014.
