Jackson police search for a bank robbery suspect

JACKSON, Miss.- Jackson police are still searching for a bank robbery suspect.

Police say Carl Burse is one of the two bandits wanted in connection to the crime at the Trustmark Bank on Terry Road and Highway 80. He was captured Thursday evening.

Investigators say they confirmed the vehicle used in the bank robbery from Thursday, and believe Burse was the driver.

He has been charged with Armed Robbery of a bank.

We’re told a woman walked into the bank and handed the teller a note.

She got a bag of cash and took off going northbound on Terry Road.

Police say no weapon was displayed in the robbery, and there were no injuries.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect getting into a 1999 Chevy suburban which police say was being driving by Burse.
