Recall on more than 89,000 pounds of Sam’s Choice beef

More than 89,000 pounds of beef are be recalled by a Minnesota meat company.

Huisken Meat Company said they are recalling the products because they may be contaminated with extraneous wood materials.

The recall affects The Sam’s Choice Black Angus Vidalia Onion. The items were produced on various dates between Nov. 19, 2015, and Dec. 9, 2015. Consumers are urged not to use the 2-lb. boxes containing 6 pieces of “Sam’s Choice Black Angus Beef Patties with 19% Vidalia ® Onion.” with Use By dates 05/17/2016; 05/29/2016; and 06/06/2016.

The products have the establishment number “EST. 394A” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations nationwide.

There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
