JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Six days into the new year, one family in Copiah County is without a home after their house went up in flames.
We’re told the fire was hard to put out.
It started Tuesday night on the roof. The homeowner, Jack Willoughby, managed to get his wife, two dogs, and grandson out.
Fire crews managed to get most of the flames out at first, but the fire kept rekindling.
“Yeah, you lost momentos, you lost nostalgic stuff from ya kids childhood, pictures and that type of stuff but that’s lost that’s no big deal,” he said.
The family is staying with relatives.
