Man accused of robbery at Delta Technical College taken into custody in Jackson

RIDGELAND, Miss. (WJTV) — Two police agencies work together to make an arrest Wednesday.

A man is in custody after an alleged robbery at a college in Ridgeland.

Police charged Rodrecus Williams with petit larceny, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest.

The incident all started at Delta Technical College on Marketridge Road.

pursuit on I-220 2The call initially was a strong armed robbery. We are told by police that a vendor was collecting money from a vending machine when someone snatched the money.

The man who took the money was first spotted on Cole Road by The Members Exchange Credit Union. From there he ran on foot and was arrested in a residential area South of I-220 between Beasley and Watkins, police said.

Jackson police worked closely with Ridgeland Police to make this arrest.

At last check, the money had not been recovered yet.

No one was hurt officials, tell us.
