VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) — One local animal hospital is moving their animals before flood waters are expected to hit.

At the Vicksburg Animal Hospital, leaders say all the animals will be moved Wednesday. If anyone needs assistance moving their own pets, they can also give them a call.

“We’re working with two or three organizations and we should have all the animals moved by the end of the week,” said Robert Mays, supervisor of Vicksburg Animal Control.

They are encouraging residents to not leave their animals behind. They also plan on going out in the streets to checking for animals left behind.
