WJTV – Four-star Germantown cornerback Nigel Knott announced he is committing to Alabama through a video released by Bleacher Report on Monday.
Knott chose the Crimson Tide over Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oregon, and others. 247sports has him listed as the fourth best player from Mississippi in the Class of 2016, while Rivals and ESPN have him as the second best overall player from the state.
In his senior season, one that saw the cornerback play just eight games due to a torn meniscus, he racked up three interceptions and four pass breakups to go along with 51 solo tackles.
Standing at 5-foot-11 and weighing 175 pounds, Knott has shown some freakish athleticism in the past that has gone viral by jumping over seven foam pads and backflipping off of a wall to catch a ball.
Knott will sign with Alabama on Feb. 3, National Signing Day, at 8 a.m.
