WJTV – While there is plenty of talent staying within the state of Mississippi on National Signing Day, there are others who have chosen to explore options outside of the state.
Four-star Germantown cornerback Nigel Knott chose Alabama over Ole Miss and Mississippi State on Feb. 1. In the video above, Knott said the decision to go Alabama came down to his desire to win and his comfort in Tuscaloosa. He said it was a very tough decision based on his admiration for Ole Miss and Mississippi State.
Three-star Madison Central tight end Grayson Gunter is also staying in the SEC. Gunter is going to Arkansas to fulfill what he said is a dream: playing SEC football.
Three-star Florence offensive lineman Gentle Williams is completely leaving the South for school. He’s going to Cal and is excited to enroll in what is considered one of the best public schools in the nation.
Three-star Clinton defensive back Lamarques Thomas might be heading a while away to Louisville, but he seems comfortable and ready to prove himself outside of Mississippi.
