MCCOMB, Miss. (AP) – Sheriff’s deputies say a man suspected of stabbing his former girlfriend at a day care center has been arrested.
The Enterprise-Journal reports that authorities arrested Antonio Robinson at his mother’s home on Friday and charged him with aggravated assault in connection with the stabbing of JoAnn Russell.
Greg Martin, the Pike County Sheriff Department’s chief investigator, says Robinson allegedly stabbed Russell with a knife on Thursday. Authorities say Russell was stabbed in her right thigh twice while she was at work.
Robinson was in the Pike County jail with no bond set.
