Magee man booked, charged for touching patient

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A Magee man has been arrested and charged for the gratification of lust while working as a direct care worker.

Daniel P. Smith, 21, was arrested Monday, March 7 according to Attorney General Jim Hood.

Smith was an employee at an unidentified mental health facility.

The charge against Smith alleges he touched a 24-year-old male patient inappropriately.

Smith was booked into the Simpson County Jail. He was released on a $5,000 bond.

Smith faces up to 15 years behind bars if convicted.
