Jackson State beats Sam Houston State in first round of CIT

WJTV – After blowing a 17-point halftime lead, Jackson State beats Sam Houston 81-77 in the first round of the College Insider Tournament.

The win is the first for JSU in the postseason since 1993 when Lindsey Hunter and the Tigers beat UConn in, ironically, overtime, in the first round of the NIT.

This win also gives the Tigers 20 on the season, their first such season since 2006-2007. That year was the last year they won the SWAC Tournament.

The CIT doesn’t have a bracket. The second round is March 18-20. JSU’s next game and opponenet, as well as location, is TBD.
